Cairns Black Marlin Charters use a 43′ O’Brien game boat, manufactured in Townsville by legendary boat builder, Peter O’Brien specifically built to handle the conditions of the Great Barrier Reef doing extended charters. Renamed “Hellraiser 2”, the charter boat is a comfortable, modern, fully air conditioned fly bridge cruiser. Guests are accommodated in a private double cabin with its own on suite and four V Berths with a separate spacious bathroom. The galley is fully equipped and the saloon offers a comfortable lounge area with tv, stereo and dvd player. Operating out of Cairns and Cooktown, Hellraiser 2 has enough fuel, water, fridge, freezer and storage capacity to spend 7 to 9 days away on charter at a time. The boat is powered by twin 450hp Cummins,one engine replaced and the other rebuilt, a new generator was fitted as well,all in 2011,has a cruise of 20kns and a max of 28 kns, has a tuna tower, and modern electronics,full Simrad package fitted in 2013 with the latest chirp transducer. All tackle is highly maintained and of a world class standard.
